I feel like a teenager. Just when we get over our issues with the title (I feel like we've got a winner now) I'm starting to get worried about our subtitle.
In our discussions yesterday, Hong, Gene and I realized that our book is mostly about helping teams to be "change ready." Agile is a good step forward in focusing on embracing change rather than discouraging it. But we need to do more, beyond just the practices and into the "bloodstream" of the team. We need change-readiness in the bloodstream, essentially.
So now I'm thinking that our subtitle doesn't say enough about being change-ready.
Our current subtitle is "Rebuilding Agile and the Concept of the Human Team using Systems Thinking."
Here are some initial thoughts. Please feel free to vote on these or add your own.
Helping Teams to Become Change-Ready using Systems Thinking
Moving to a New Level of Change-Ready Teams using Systems Thinking
Beyond Practices to a New Level of Change-Readiness using Systems Thinking
I don't care how long our subtitle is. As long as it helps to get people to pick it up and look at it, the length doesn't matter.
